I have missed a couple IMK link ups, and have missed visiting my blogging friends too. Spring is very slow to arrive and my kitchen inspiration has been lacking, almost non-existent.
There hasn’t been too much excitement around here.
If you check out our Instagram @cookswithevie you will have seen what we have been up to.
Here are a few things that have been in our kitchen while we have been AWOL from blogging.
Evie turned 9! This was the at home cake and we had emoji cupcakes at her party with friends.
We made this crepe cake, which I still have to post on the blog, and will do that soon.
Made this delicious Thai crunch salad
I did post this recipe! It is on the blog.An antipasto snack
Pan fried gnocchi pomodoro
Chickpea avocado sandwich with cilantro sprouts
We made maple pecan granola
Evie made cupcakes, she is not light handed when it comes to sprinkles!
Maybe there was a little more going on in my kitchen than I thought.
In My Kitchen monthly theme is now hosted by Sherry at sherryspickings.blogspott.ie. So if you would like to know what’s cooking or see some kitchen treasures, head over to Sherry’s blog and check out all the other IMK participants.
You look very busy!

Your kitchen was full of treats and good eats, and some interesting Oregon wines. The antipasto salad and crepe cake have my tummy runbling in anticipation, but Evie gets the top honors for smiles and cupcake decorating.
love the crepe cake. looks like 30 crepes? i used to make savoury versions years ago must do it again sometime. and the patty cakes look pretty tasty too. thanks so much for joining in on IMK this month and thanks heaps for adding my badge to your post. CHeers!
It is about 30 crepes, took forever to make them all! Mmmmm savoury crepes for dinner sounds good.
Please pass over that Pinot. Nice cup cakes. Happy Birthday Evie
Oh Lori, what a delight to witness your IMK capers this month, even if you felt like not much “exciting” was going on… sometimes there’s more than meets the eye. WOW… Evie is 9 already? Happy Birthday to her, belated tho it may be! Had to smile at her “generosity” with sprinkles… I’m the same way. 🙂 Loved the gorgeous layers of your crepe cake, your antipasto, and maple pecan granola. (Among other things!) Thanks for featuring Oregon wines, too. A neighbor just recommended them last week when they visited the “hood” and I promised to check them out. Cool to see your “ditto” accolades… I trust your judgment! xo
Great crepe cake! Love the girl genius tee.
Love the Lays smile bag – I would be taking photos of everyone, even my cat Lori! Loving the look of your crepe cake and that gnocchi – wow! Is there a recipe, I’d love to try it 🙂 Glad to catch up over #IMK x

Thanks for stopping by. I do have recipes for both recipes and will try to post them on the blog soon. I will let you know when they are posted.
I’ve been meaning to make a crepe cake, thanks for the reminder! I think it must be a kid thing to pour the sprinkles on, I know my boys do it as well. Granola is a staple around here, can’t have enough in the house. Oregon has some excellent wines, I loved visiting many wineries there a few years ago.
Love it all- but especially the crepe cake. Fabulous!
