I have been seeing a lot of picture from blogging friends showing beautiful spring like pictures. Many of you are in the Southern Hemisphere and it is your summer and I love seeing those pictures this time of year. Even on this side of the globe Misky just posted some beautiful spring pictures of flowers peeking through the ground and Celi has been moving pigs around the farm and it looks like early spring there.
Meanwhile in Canada, this was our week….
Walking to school was a challenge and took a very long time and I was extra late for work.
Short little westie legs….need to shovel out a spot for him to pee.
That is the table and chairs on my patio. Won’t be having morning coffee there for awhile.
This year is Canada’s 150th birthday. It will be a year long celebration.

What fabulous photographs! Now that’s what I call *real* winter. It’s bone-shatteringly cold and white. And a very happy birthday to Canada!
Oh girl~ your backyard looks like mine. But I think we are on different sides of North America. You are on the east side of Canada, ya? While we are on the western side of the States. No matter. The snow looks the same. And we too, are yearning for spring.

Lol. It’s dry as a bone here in Toronto. We had a high of 14 degrees Celsius yesterday with lots of sun. Love Winterfest – was there a few years back. Nothing like skating the Rideau.

That maple sugar taffy looks amazing. I vividly remember Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House in the Big Woods?) writing about this. We have TONS of snow left. I am going to make this today! YAY!
