December post, that came up really fast. I wrote in November that hopefully the December post would have lots of Christmas baking. Nope failed that one. I have not baked one single Christmas cookie.

In my kitchen is a treat from Uncle Tatsu’s, a Japanese cheesecake, it was soooo good
in my kitchen is some saltine toffee (post to follow);
and a cranberry orange loaf (post to follow);
A cookie press, hopefully to assist with the making of some cookies soon;
Belgian dark chocolate;
trail mix;
and a gingerbread house, Santa and chef will not go to the dark side.

I’m with you, I haven’t baked a single Christmas cookie either! I would like to think I still have lots of time. That being said it flies quickly and I was already down for several days due to illness. Let the baking begin any day now! Saltine toffee sounds yummy and probably relatively easy. Your loaf cake also looks delicious.
Delightful things in your kitchen and the gingerbread house is adorable. I used to have an electric American cookie press that I had to use with a power converter but it eventually died. I need a new one.

I absolutely love your advent candle! First I have seen – brilliant!
My cookie press doesn’t come out of the cupboard that often, one because it makes me eat too many cookies and two it doesn’t always work as well I would like.

This will be the 4th year in a row I have sworn off baking Christmas cookies, that cookie press might make me change my mind though. I’ve didn’t realize they were still making them. You have lots of other lovely sweets in your kitchen, cake looks delicious. I’ve never heard of Japanese cheesecake, sounds interesting, not too sweet?

I’ve not done the baking that I usually do for Christmas as we will be traveling. That Belgian chocolate has to be tasty.

I love your Christmas/Advent decorations. How adorable! The candle may be my favourite – I’ve never seen one like it. I am sure that santa and the chef resisted the dark side admirably!
